Scouts: Dialogue for Peace Resources

This page, comprises of many resources provided for the purpose of guidance and to instil the importance of dialogue in our hearts and minds as a value, rather than just a skill. It builds a foundation for dialogue in our Movement and strengthens the Scouting value system. The SCOUTS offer a clear path to any young person wanting to become what we call, a dialogical Scout. This is one of the ways to create a better world, and to achieve global peace.

Dialogue for Peace Facilitator Manual: This manual is part of the collection of resources designed jointly by the World Organisation Scouts Movement (WOSM) and The International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) partnership to support developing competencies related to dialogue in young people and adults.

This manual offers guidance to adult leaders who wish to pursue accreditation. This Dialogue for Peace Facilitator is specialized for Adults accredited to educate and support others in developing dialogue competencies. Adults can combine this manual with the Dialogue for Peace Toolbox for Trainers

The aim of this 'dialogue for peace' is to nurture dialogue as a skill and a human value.

Dialogue for Peace Training Programme: The World Scouts Organisation Movement (WOSM) and the The International Dialogue Centre (KACIID) have also developed these set of resources in order to impart and promote peaceful dialogue skills.

This is a dynamic toolbox compiling several resources produced globally and by the regional teams to support capacity development efforts, young people and adult training and promotion events. Use these tools in combination with the Dialogue for Peace Trainers Manual.

The Dialogue for Peace international team, made off team members from the six regions of the Scouts Movement and KAICIID team, collaborated to develop resources to support Dialogue Ambassadors in creating a culture of peace and mutual understanding.
